The Largely Literary Theater Company, L.L.C., was founded by writer Mark Dawidziak and actress Sara Showman in 2002 to promote literature, literacy and live theater. Based in Ohio, the touring company offers one and two-act shows inspired by great literature. The company has taken its shows to more than 75 Ohio communities and several states, including New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, California, New Jersey, Maryland and Michigan.

Their many two-person shows include Twain by Two, The Tell-Tale Play (stories and poems by Edgar Allan Poe), Ghosts of the Civil War: Shades of Blue and Gray, Everything I Need to Know I Learned in The Twilight Zone (based on Dawidziak's 2017 book), Christmas With Charles Dickens, Monsters Are Universal (looking at the literary roots of classic monster movies) and Force of Nature (Theodore Roosevelt, John Muir and the founding of the National Park Service).

Showman's storytelling programs include She Stories (tales from around the world with female heroes), L-O-V-E (stories about all kinds of love, plus the story of St. Valentine's Day and its customs), Things That Go Bump in the Night (a spooky celebration of Appalachian stories and songs) and The Holly and the Ivy: Why We Do What We Do at Christmas (the stories behind our Christmas traditions).
